Historical earliest finished Watchmen artwork produced by Dave Gibbons. 11x 17" board
It was drawn in 1985 to visually flesh out the Watchmen series concept and predates Watchmen issue 1, published the following year. Note that it is credited as Moore & Gibbons.
Published in Graphitti edition of Watchmen in Feb 1988 and Watching the Watchmen.
In this the 40th anniversary of the milestone work, this is the last finished Watchmen artwork that Dave will be parting with.
Taking offers this week over San Diego Comicon until late July. I will have it with me at the show so it can be viewed in person (by arrangement.)
Final figure payable in Sterling equivalent.
